FOREIGN TEACHERS IN CHINA NOW PAID MORE THAN SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS

It used to be anyone could teach English in China and…. everyone did…. including Vlad from Moscow and Tetenda from Zimbabwe. Then China cracked down on the industry. The problem was that none of these people were qualified English teachers, and many didn’t actually speak proper English or at least had terrible accents. So, since about 10 years ago, only native English speakers could get a work permit to teach English or, if not native, they have to have a degree in English.
